Originally founded by the Christian Missionary Association, these schools were originally known as Bilingual schools. The founding principal was a church father. Education was conducted in English.There were 45 students and 2 teachers at the time of founding school. And there was only one building for the entire school. Drinking water was available to the school from a well. That was within school property. Incrementally the number of students increased along with the number of buildings within the school.

This school was a very popular school within the region during those bygone days. Therefore there was a huge increase in the amount of students who joined the school. Similarly the amount of members within the staff also increased and created many high ranking officials serving different sectors within the country. Currently there are 459 students 30 teachers and 3 non academic members of the staff in the school.
