It is with humble pride and pleasure, that I issue a message on this very special day to congratulate the Peradeniya Junior Secondary School on a Journey towards success and further development.
I am very pleased to state that we share a great mission and a vision for the school to nurture and develop the lives of our young learners to the best of our capacity.Since the founding of the school back in 1942,we have strived to become better and progress towards a school which is on par with the other prestigious institutions within the country.
I recollect with honour and respect, that I currently occupy the prestigious position of the Principal of the school with a student population over 459 and 30 academic and 3 non-academic staff.It is indeed noteworthy to announce that over the past years we have created a path towards exceptional progress and a sound record in Academic and Extra-Curricular activities.Our mission is to create more valuable opportunities for our students in order to gain better exposure and education which ensure their total personality to win the society and world as capable and proficient citizens
The school is remains extremely grateful for the wholehearted devotion and the committed services of all those who served the school, such as founding members, past principals, members of the academic staff, members of the non-academic staff and past pupils.
I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere admiration and thanks to all the members of my staff, past pupils, parents, well wishers and students for the great services and untiring efforts for directing Peradeniya Junior Secondary School towards greater triumph.
Under the Guidance of the Ministry of Education, I consider the development of websites for schools to be a monumental task. In an age where Information and Communication Technology is being used as a tool to future develop the quality of education for students, I consider it to be a benefit that students are able to participate in this programme where schools are encouraged to develop websites for their betterment and ease-of -access.
