In Peradeniya Junior Secondary school , the junior Scouting Movement was introduced on the year 2017.The programme was conducted by Mrs Nilendra ,who was a teacher in primary section.At the time ,the Senior Scout programme was being conducted by Mrs.Sujatha Basnayake.Upto this date ,two troops have earned badges.The third roop is temporarily disbanded due to the prevailing pandemic situation within the country,and the Headquarters for Scouting in Kandy have informed that the troop will be able to reassemble on early January in 2022.
